Chicken and Dumplings. I could always find enough ingredients to make chicken and dumplinds.
Here is my quick receipe:
1 chicken cut up anyway that you like. (I buy thighs and legs) But what ever you like works.
pepper garlic powder season salt (what ever seasonings you like)
4 cans of biscuits
chicken broth (I use the broth from my chicken)
Boil cut up chicken until done….. remove and place in collander. Add what ever spices that you like…cool and remove chicken from bone and shred.In the mean time add about 2 cups of water to the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Open biscuits and pinch off dough and drop into broth. Turn down heat and stir often.
Add chicken and simmer 45 minutes. Add a little butter last.
You will know that the dumplings are done when the dough sinks to the bottom. Make sure you stir often.
This is always a good dish, but better in the winter.
